Christianity has long taught the concept of Original Sin, where humanity needed the death of Christ to redeem our errors. But Franciscan Christianity has always taught ‘original blessing’ instead. The Franciscan view is that Jesus was Plan A, not any kind of Plan B for when things went wrong. And this beautiful teaching also calls creation ‘the first Bible’ understanding that Divine presence has always been in love with its outpouring from the very start.
This one-day online course explores the magic and mystery that led the Franciscans to hold such a different world view from conventional Christianity – a view that brings hope, ties faith directly with ecology and shows us a way forward in love, rather than fear. Tickets £35 (concessions available, email to enquire) OVERSEAS REGISTRATIONS: Please book your place through our donation button, click here adding a line with your payment to advise you are paying for Maggy’s workshop |

Maggy Whitehouse brings clear eyes, deep thought and a loving heart to the mysterious process of unlocking wisdom from its ancient vaults. Let her entertain you, embolden you and awaken you to the power of your own essential nature”
Professor Peter Bolland, Chair of Philosophy at Southwestern College, San Diego.
Maggy does not teach that one has to ‘aspire’ or ‘climb ladders of perfection’ to attain what is clearly out of normal human reach. No, she explains, with humour and humanity, how we can actually touch the magic ‘down here’, in and through our cracked ego-protecting shells. I guarantee that if you’re genuinely open to her message, whatever background, path or tradition you happen to have arrived here from, you will come away touched and changed
