Request a Prayer

Prayer - Silent Unity Prayer Ministry - Keeping the light shining

Click on this YouTube link to listen to a short, evocative prayer to you all from Silent Unity
Silent Unity, Unity’s Prayer Ministry, is dedicated to joining in prayer with all those who contact us, by letter, phone or email.  We do not expect any particular faith. We are honoured to pray with all.
Phone: Contact the Prayer Line on 01628-628916. Open Monday-Friday 9.30am-4.30pm (closed bank holidays) Outside of these hours you can listen to a short prayer which is changed regularly; and, if you wish, you may leave a prayer request.

On rare occasions, for example if one of our volunteers is indisposed, we may need to divert the prayer calls to our Silent Unity headquarters in America. This is to ensure we continue to serve you in the best way we can, at no extra cost to you.

..I thank you, knowing that you were praying for me. I didn’t feel so alone nor so negative.
I say prayers every day and use your booklet Wherever You Are God is..
Elizabeth

Just to thank you for my prayer time with you last Thursday and then by Saturday just two days later you sent me a lovely letter and comforting words as well as a dear booklet The Daily Word for July and August and most interesting it is to read which I did on my travels by train today.

Blessings to you all and thank you again from Margaret

History of Prayer in Unity

Unity was founded on the power of healing prayer inspired by the experience of our co-founder Myrtle Fillmore in America, in the 1880’s.

Faced with profound personal challenges, Myrtle affirmed life, wholeness, and strength through prayer, curing herself of a life-threatening illness, as she repeated to herself the words: “I am a child of God and I do not inherit sickness”.  Since then, the prayer ministry that is known as Silent Unity has grown and spread around the world.

Unity’s ministry grew up in the UK in the 1920’s, first through local groups, then later through Silent Unity, which was officially set up in 1977.  We continue to support people all around the UK and around the world through the power of affirmative prayer.
