Dear Silent Unity,
I phoned last week for prayers to be said for my husband and son. I am very happy and grateful to say that my husband is getting better every day and my son has already been offered a job he likes. Thank you for putting them on your list of prayers. We thank God for the blessing our family always. We thank Unity for their spiritual support and we deeply appreciate your help. Thank you for the kind letters and support you gave us. It is always a pleasure to receive your letters and excited to read them as well. Your letters always give me some peace of mind and draw me closer to God.

History of Prayer in Unity
Unity was founded on the power of healing prayer inspired by the experience of our co-founder Myrtle Fillmore in America, in the 1880’s.
Faced with profound personal challenges, Myrtle affirmed life, wholeness, and strength through prayer, curing herself of a life-threatening illness, as she repeated to herself the words: “I am a child of God and I do not inherit sickness”. Since then, the prayer ministry that is known as Silent Unity has grown and spread around the world.
Unity’s ministry grew up in the UK in the 1920’s, first through local groups, then later through Silent Unity, which was officially set up in 1977. We continue to support people all around the UK and around the world through the power of affirmative prayer.
