Thought for the Week

“I shall be satisfied, when I awake, with thy likeness.”

Ps 17:15 (KJV)

This follows on beautifully from last week.  We are each being called to wake up to the knowing of our Oneness with God and All That Is. The Psalmist knew this.  And we can know this, too.

Myrtle wrote that “this likeness now slumbers in us as the seed in the earth; it is the something that is always urging us to better things.” (P95)  There will be no real satisfaction for us until we find ourselves in the silence and stillness of our hearts.

The joy is that this awareness is already within us, ready to sprout and become like the huge oak tree growing out of the acorn.

Once more this week we allow the longing of our soul to take us inward.  I allow myself to trust in God within me. I let this inner knowing flow out from me into the world, blessing me and all I meet.

This is the call for us all. This is love in action. It connects us all.
