“Heaven represents the unified field,
the space in which all things are possible.”
Divine Audacity Linda Martella-Whitsett P 63
If you have been brought up in traditional Christianity, heaven has been described as a place we go to when we die, if we have been good. Unity teaches otherwise.
Charles Fillmore, Unity co-founder taught that heaven is, ‘The Christ-consciousness, the realm of Divine Mind, a state of consciousness in harmony with the thoughts of God.’ (Revealing Word) Jesus Christ said, “The kingdom of heaven is within you.” (Luke 17:21)
Linda Martella-Whitsett in her book Divine Audacity, describes heaven as the unified field.
So how do we connect with our experience of heaven? In Unity we advise prayer, meditation, study and service, for as we give we receive.
Prayer helps us keep our mind focused on God as good. Meditation leads us into silence and stillness to experience God as the still, small voice within, study keeps us open to uplifting and supporting ideas and service enables the divine energy to flow.
What is your experience of heaven? Are you open to having one right now? Then let us know together that the kingdom of heaven is within us, attainable, is full of limitless potential and that, perhaps, we are here on earth to know and live this for us all.
