Talk by Nancy Sandoval
We are delighted to welcome our Unity teacher in training, Nancy Sandoval, as our guest speaker this month. As part of her study, Nancy prepared this talk a few months ago. On hearing it I thought it would be great to share it with everyone through our Sunday gathering.
Nancy will be speaking from her home in Leeds, so will be an online presenter, which will add another dimension to the meeting.
We warmly invite you to share this time together, whether in person at Maidenhead or online using Zoom. We will meet from 2.15 pm to share in some light refreshments before the service. Some quiet time of silent prayer is also included in the afternoon. See you there!
We look forward to meeting you and sharing this time together. We will meet from 2.15 pm to share in some light refreshments before the service. Some quiet time of silent prayer is also included in the afternoon. So see you there!
If you have not experienced a Unity service before, this is the place to begin. Every service is different and has its own special feeling.
The Friends Meeting House is the perfect place to meet and we look forward to welcoming you there on Sunday. Parking is in the main multi-story car park off the A4, near Sainsburys. It is free on Sunday’s and is a 5 minute walk from the meeting rooms on West Street. Alternatively it is a 10 minute walk from the station.
Joining us onlineJoin the service live online
If you live too far away to join us in person, you can connect using Zoom a free internet conference room. Download our programme so you can join in with the affirmations as they are spoken. We also recommend you have your own candle to light and feel even more part of the service.
We look forward to sharing our next Sunday gathering with you.
Third Sunday of each month at 3pm ( refreshments available from 2.15pm)
Our Unity gatherings are a time of reflection, music, discussion, Daily Word readings, prayer and meditation, followed by a time of refreshment and fellowship. Through shared ideas and quiet stillness, we open to the deeper knowing that we are spiritual beings having human experiences, finding ways to experience lives of fulfilment in health, prosperity, loving relationships and peace.
Every person is warmly welcomed into the group, encouraged to take part as much as they are comfortable with, as we get to know each other at a deeper level. Using Unity material, ideas and practices, we are enabled to become the truth we seek.
At Unity you are loved, accepted included and celebrated just as you are. All are warmly welcome regardless of belief, gender, nationality, age, sexuality or disability; everyone is a child of God and we greet you in this way.

The Friends Meeting House, 14 West Street, Maidenhead
The Friends Meeting House is located in central Maidenhead, next to the Portland Arms pub. West Street lies behind Marks & Spencer, etc. It is a dead-end road that can only be entered from Market Street.
Driving West along the A4 to Reading, turn left at the roundabout with B4447 Cookham Road to the right.
This is Market Street. Follow Market Street round to the right and the Meeting House is on the right.
Driving East along the A4 to Slough, turn right at the roundabout with B4447 Cookham Road on left, into Market Street and follow road round to the right etc.
Parking in all the car parks in Maidenhead is free on Sunday. There is a car park at the end of West Street which gets very busy. Alternatively you can park in the Sainsbury’s car park and walk 5 minutes to the building.
Please allow 10-15 minutes to park your car in the town.
Walking directions from Maidenhead Station:
As you leave the station, walk down through the car park to the main street, cross over the road at the traffic lights, and at the next immediate set of next traffic lights cross over on the left side. Walk up the pedestrian street which is King Street, past the David Lloyd Fitness Centre and the Odeon Cinema, both on the left. Cross over the pedestrian crossing, continue up King Street. When you get to the top of the road, instead of turning right to walk down the pedestrianized High Street, keep walking ahead and you will walk through to West Street. Turn right, and about 200 yards on the left, past the pub, you will find the Friends Meeting House. This is an easy walk which will take less than 10 minutes.
