Until there is a definite inner revealing of
an indwelling Christ, we have not yet found
the “friendship of the Lord” (Ps. 25:14

From the indwelling Christ in each of us comes life, health, peace, power and all things. This seeking of God, that which we so earnestly desire on our spiritual path, does not come from the mental side alone, nor through the emotional side alone. Intuition and intellect are to work together, with intuition holding the reins to guide intellect.
This is why the reasoning, thinking part of us is to wait and rest in the silence. The light we so desire, the resonance of our deep, inner longing and knowing, will come out of the silence within.
Our conscious knowledge of the indwelling God is that which Paul wrote about to the Colossians as: “the mystery that has been hidden throughout the ages and generations but has now been revealed to his saints … Christ in you, your hope of glory.” (Col. 1:26,27)
“We want a revelation of God as love within us, so that our whole being will be filled and thrilled with love – a love that is not pumped up by our effort … but a love that will flow with the spontaneity and fullness of an artesian well, because it is so full at the bottom that it must flow out.”
This is the love of God being revealed through us. Let us continue to surrender all that is not love, and wait upon God in the silence of our minds and hearts.
