“I fast, letting go of all I am not.
I feast on the truth of all that I AM.”
The season of Lent is once more upon us, beginning this Wednesday, 6th March.
Lent is traditionally a time of denial or fasting, established by the early Christian Church, to prepare for Easter and the resurrection.
In Unity we are encouraged to fast from all that we want to let go of in our thinking. Charles Fillmore, our co-founder, suggested using this time to release negative thoughts and feelings so we can wake up to the abundance of life around us. This was done through denying the power of something over us, to make way for the Power at work through us.
When we do this consciously and with focused awareness, a shift happens. We make space to know God, see God and be the witness of God.
This Lent, join us in daily fasting so we can feast on the truth – that all of God is with and within us in every moment, to be the experience of abundance, life, joy, compassion and peace.

If you are interested in joining Unity in our daily fasting and feasting, you can order your Lent booklet to guide you through the daily focus. Together we can wake up to the truth of who we are – Divine beings, one with God. This is our resurrection, to which we are all called.
Every Monday – Friday, from 9.00-9.30 am and 12.00-12.30 pm, we hold our Daily Word prayer meeting and Silent Unity prayer service via Zoom internet conferencing.
You are warmly invited to share this time with us. We are honoured to sit together in prayer and stillness with you.
