I Choose to See Clearly

By January 26, 2017 Thought for the week

“I choose to see myself differently.”

We all have self-perceptions about ourselves. Some are positive and some are less so.

At the beginning of this new year, now is the perfect time to let go of some of the old perceptions we have about ourselves, and forge new ones, with faith that we are children, expressions, of the divine. Especially if we can see they are not working for us anymore.

Do you have faith in your own goodness?

Do you experience yourself as lovable and loving? As healthy and whole?

Do you have confidence in yourself and have faith in your own self-worth?

All of us are a ‘work in progress’. All of us can become aware, lovingly and without blame

or shame, where we can let go of our old perceptions and faithfully step into new ones.

The invitation is to ask ourselves, what unhelpful perceptions of myself am I carrying around? Do I see myself for who I am, as God knows me? Then be willing to see ourselves with new eyes: To connect with ways in which we can live this new way of seeing ourselves, responding with love and respect in expressing more of who we are.
