At the start of Advent and December, we have a perfect opportunity to reflect on what Christmas means to us. This is personal – there is no right or wrong – simply what is meaningful to you and to me.
Here are some of my reflections at this very special time of year: It is wonderful that so many of you join us through this season, reading Daily Word alongside our Advent messages (order here), allowing them to help us dive deeper into what is meaningful, including our desires for this season. These darker days encourage me to appreciate the light when we have it, and light candles and switch on twinkly lights in the evening, adding some sparkle to this time. I appreciate being with friends and family, enjoying meals, parties and shared time together. I continue to hold a vision of peace in our world, with all people honouring and respecting each other and all life on our planet, finding a way to live and work together in harmony. I know this time is hard for many, so I hold all in prayer, that they may know the deep, abiding presence of God within them as love, reassurance and peace. I anticipate the rebirth of the Christ light in me this Christmas, knowing that the inner light of God is clearing the way in me, understanding and releasing no-longer needed habits and responses, so that the Light shines ever brighter as my True Self so I may see You. Amid the busyness, I take time for quiet reflection and we here at Unity, offer you the opportunity to join us in this process. The details of our Advent and Christmas meetings can be found on our website. Do join us. Make this Advent season meaningful for you, as you take time to reflect on what is important to you, this Christmas. And may I wish every one of you a Christmas filled and overflowing with peace, love and joy. The Light in me celebrates and honours the Light You Are. Merry Christmas Kimerie
