The archetypes that define us.

The word ‘disaster’ means to be cut off from the stars, cut off from the cosmology. We’ve been cut off for three centuries – mysticism art and science stopped working together at the time of the ‘Enlightenment’ when the World turned to the rational mind for its salvation.

I don’t think that is working very well… So what to do in a world where Christianity has become so associated with the right and law takes precedence over love? And where churches like Unity are viewed as slightly heretical and dismissed for their focus on unity and love? We must dig deep into aspects of our psyche – to the archetypes that everyone understands whatever their faith.

Humanity loves myths. Game of Thrones is mythical. As are The Lord of the Rings and The Chronicles of Narnia. Myth tells ultimate truths and shows us that we all have a purpose in life. Identifying the myths that inspire us will help us to know who we truly are and guide us on the path to a life of fulfilment and contentment. We can share our myths in a way that society understands, and, with a Unity foundation, we can be a light in the world.
