I give thanks

​For the whole journey I give thanks and praise.
For Spirit’s continual effort in and around me: thanks and praise.
From the desperation of imploding circumstance and form
To the Goodness working to suggest friends and strangers.
Strangers in Consciousness, able to direct me back to myself;
And in myself show me how The Divine lives here,
-smothered by my ego and the ‘conditioning’ Man’s loosed as the rule to live by…
 
I give thanks for Stillness that has enkindled Spirit and illumined Soul.
Thanks for Breath and Word that offer a strong staff in the darkness.
Thanks for the articulation and right seeing of truth I’ve always known.
Thanks for a love I didn’t know how to realise; the support, strength and joy it gives me.
Thanks for the teachers who offer me ways to move toward peace.
 
In near death moments past and present
I remember I Am here.
In failing body I lie, and re- member ‘I Am’ here.
In isolation, I see the hand of acceptance in those who stay open;
And strange as it may seem, over many days past –
I see, I know and I voice the reverse side of what appears to be decline.
For ‘I Am’ still here and Whole and All.
I Am
