Happy October everyone. We are invited to embrace our power of zeal this month. Every time you see the colour orange let it remind you that there are many things to be excited about. May that excitement lead us to a heightened level of gratitude. If you don’t already practice this, for the month of October I invite you to think of three things each day (people, animals, places, things, or experiences) that you are grateful for. I have a group of friends that started sharing gratitude lists when we were all at home during the pandemic. We still share lists with each other randomly, but now thanks to this newsletter I am inspired to give them a daily list of three every day in October. Will you choose a friend or two and join me in this gratitude exercise? As Kimerie has wrapped up her time serving as Director of Silent Unity and Daily Word UK, I step forward as the official new Spiritual Director. There’s a call for all of us to come together and continue the work she has carried out for so many years. There have been some challenges obtaining a sponsorship license to hire me as an American to work in the UK. That simply calls for me and all of us to carry on the work in a completely new way. That doesn’t disregard the way things have been done. It simply uses everything that has guided us to this moment and supports us into the next phase of carrying forward these teachings that I have found to make life better. I invite you all to stay in communication with me. Do you have ideas that would make a great Thought of the Week? Are you interested in learning more about affirmative prayer like the volunteers on the prayer line? How about people or organizations you think would really love the Daily Word but haven’t heard of it yet? My goal is to support the work that Kimerie has handed off to me and help expand Unity’s outreach across all of the UK. That’s not a one-man job. It’s not a job that can be handled by just the staff in our office. We need your involvement. Together, I believe we are embarking on some fun and exciting adventures in Unity together!
