On Saturday 26th July, Unity held our annual Celebration Day, which was filled with music, singing and positive messages, along with excellent food served by Unity London. Each year at Celebration Day, the leaders of Unity reconsecrate themselves as ministers, teachers and leaders within the Unity movement. The words are very powerful. They also, I believe, can be said by anyone who dedicates their lives to spiritual work through Unity’s teachings and practices. Below are the words we spoke together - you may find you can speak them for yourself, too: I dedicate myself to the principles of Truth as exemplified by Jesus Christ and taught by Unity School of Christianity. I believe that God is absolute good and everywhere present. I believe that we are Spirit having a human experience. I believe that we change our lives by changing out thoughts and being transformed by the renewing of our minds. I believe the highest form of thought is affirmative prayer. I believe that knowing and understanding the laws of life, also called Truth, are not enough. I therefore endeavour to live the truth that I know. In service to my Ministry, I will, to the best of my ability, communicate principles of Truth and the values, mission, vision and goals of Unity Worldwide Ministry. I lovingly and willingly reconsecrate and dedicate my life to the will and the work of Jesus Christ and resolve to carry forward this great assignment Spirit has commissioned me to undertake. So let it be, Lord. Amen. If these words have meaning for you, do make them your own – feel the energy of Spirit moving through you – and know that you do, indeed, make a difference. Moving now into August, we honour the summer holidays by having a quieter month in Unity - the office and prayer line is open as normal, and all our Zoom prayer and meditation meetings continue as normal. However, all other meetings will re-start in September. Would you like to begin your week with an inspiring email?Click here to sign up for our Thought for the Week email list
