This month of August, when the days are warm and bright and life slows down a little, is the perfect time to ask a few meaningful, reflective questions.
One that comes to mind, following our recent silent retreat is,
‘What deeper truth in me wants to be known?’
We lead such busy, demanding lives and it is too easy to get caught up in this and not take time out to get quiet and still. In fact it is being suggested that these constant demands and changes happening in our world are getting too much for the human mind to cope with, which is when people switch off from themselves and act out their pain.
This question is one to take into your heart/mind inner space. There is a wisdom, understanding and love in you, to tap into, experience and know. Sit quietly with your journal, get centred and open to know God as your Source and Ground of Being. Then ask the question and write down your thoughts. Keep asking the question, quietly and compassionately of your Self, and allow the insights to arise.
When you feel complete, say thank you. And know you have the strength, energy, courage and faith to move forward in a way that blesses you and our world.
