"My heartfelt thanks go out to all at Silent Unity. When you are in a personal health situation it is not easy to wholly concentrate on a positive outcome, all too often dark thoughts take the forefront. This is when Silent Unity stood in faith for me setting in motion the energy of affirmative prayer, healing my concern and supporting me to keep in the awareness of wholeness. Love and gratitude Silent Unity."

Mid-December I rang and asked for my daughter to be included on your prayer list. I spoke to someone who prayed the most beautiful prayer for her and I have held her in that prayer, as well as continuing my own prayers for her, since that time.

There has been the most wonderful change in her. She has moved forward in a way she hasn't done for over two years. She is looking after herself more that she has ever done before and she has started to make plans to re-establish her career.
I can't thank you enough

"Dear Silent Unity,
I just wanted to send an email of thanks to your society in regards to my email. It is with great pleasure I can advise that we took my husband's employer to court and won both cases of unfair dismissal and dismissal arising to discrimination against disability. The judge ordered reinstatement and compensation for Injury to feelings too. - so I just wanted to say all my daily prayers and of course your prayers for us has been answered in good faith."

Prayerline Message Visual

When the prayer line is closed or busy, callers can leave a message with their prayer request. At this time they can also listen to a special prayer message. Many find listening to these messages, for example through the night, very helpful and uplifting. Here are some recent examples, beginning with a prayer message, entitled ‘God is Helping me Now’ featuring the wonderfully simple, healing words of Unity author and spiritual teacher, Mary Kupferle:

A recent prayer line caller wrote these words about her experience of Silent Unity’s prayer support:

Dear Friends,

Thank you so much for lifting my spirit once again during my recent prayer call. Your prayer helped me very much and I had forgotten the verse ‘Blessed are they who mourn for they shall be comforted’; then  your beautiful letter arrived, thank you.

I recently drove to a nearby beautiful and peaceful Abbey and sat in the church. This is a very special place for me. Although I was alone in the in the church there is always a feeling of such peace and of God’s Presence. I lit candles and sat. reading Daily Word and your letter to me.

From feeling so alone and troubled, the peace I was longing for, and the comfort from knowing I was being enfolded in prayer, came back to me, and is still with me.

Thank you for all that you do and give, it helps one so much. Thank you for continuing to hold me and my loved ones in prayer , which you have done for many years now.

Some words about Prayer in Unity

Unity was founded on the power of healing prayer inspired by the experience of our co-founder Myrtle Fillmore in America, in the 1880’s.

Faced with profound personal challenges, Myrtle affirmed life, wholeness, and strength through prayer, curing herself of a life-threatening illness, as she repeated to herself the words: “I am a child of God and I do not inherit sickness”.  Since then, the prayer ministry that is known as Silent Unity has grown and spread around the world.

Unity’s ministry grew up in the UK in the 1920’s, first through local groups, then later through Silent Unity, which was officially set up in 1977.  We continue to support people all around the UK and around the world through the power of affirmative prayer.

Alternatively you can write or call us on the prayerline and we will pray with you and make note of any special prayer request. Every name we receive will be held in sacred, confidential and affirmative prayer for thirty days. Seeming miracles take place when we let go of the problem, and align with, and give thanks for, the higher power at work in all our lives.
