Rev. Tom Thorpe

Rev. Tom Thorpe

We are very excited about the forthcoming visit of Rev. Tom Thorpe to our UK shores.

This will be Tom’s 7th visit in eleven years and he is as popular as ever, in the way he shares the Unity message in such a friendly, accessible and interesting way.

Tom served at Unity Village, our headquarters in America, teaching Unity classes to students in the Spiritual Education and Enrichment (SEE) programme and Ministerial students in training.  He has more than 35 years of experience in Unity and has a very easy yet meaningful way of getting the Unity message across.

We would love to see you at any of the events we are holding with Tom this Spring. It is a perfect opportunity to learn more about Unity and meet other like-minded people

Holiday Spring Retreat

“Becoming a Metaphysician – Putting Unity in Practice”

Friday 28th April – Monday 1st May

The Chadwick Hotel, Lytham St Annes, near Blackpool

With: Rev Tom Thorpe and Rev Kimerie Mapletoft

This is a very grand title, but all it really means is we will be looking at some of the very practical ways we can apply Unity teachings and practices in our day to day lives. All of this in the friendly 3* Chadwick Hotel, on the seafront at Lytham St Annes.

Some titles for the weekend include:

“I can, because I AM”

“Who’s in charge?”

“How then shall I pray?”

“Making all things new.”

“What wants to be known?”

In the most commonly held Unity view, “Christ” signifies much more than the man, Jesus, who lived 2000 years ago.  This course deals with a limited number of scripture texts chosen to present the Christ idea – the Divine Idea of the perfect human – in a concise yet comprehensive manner.  The primary goal of the course is to help you develop an effective understanding of what the Christ is and how you and all people are part of the Christ idea.

Whether this is your first Unity course, or you have studied Unity teachings extensively, you will, as you work through the lessons and ideas shared over the weekend, develop both a “head” and a “heart” understanding of the Christ.  You will gain powerful insight into what many in Unity believe it means to be a Christian.
